Blanche

Coming to Germany meant a change in transportation. Although we did enjoy our bicycles in Denmark, Blanche is a welcomed upgrade.

Mo

I was asked to take a picture to remember this years Movember efforts. I don't think Mrs. Brine expected what followed.....

Workin Woman

Myna Frau (my wife) had her first day of work at her German job. She is working at a beauty store where one of her requirements is to wrap presents. Before her first day she decided to do a little practicing and nothing in the house was safe. She wrapped mouthwash, soaps, pepper shakers, anything she could get her hands on.

Being the good husband I am, we had lunch together the day of her training. Nothing like a little Thai food and a shot to get you relaxed.

First day of official work

Lunch and a hot chocolate? Answer is always ' ja '

And of course we see our random horse carriage during our lunch date

A successful debut for myna Frau !

Living life in transition

Nobody likes to move. Nobody likes to pack. However it had to be done. We were able to enjoy one last night with our friends from Aalborg on the eve of our departure for Germany. We shared wine, food and stories, while sitting on the floor of our beloved Danish appartment. I still feel pretty devastated about leaving the life we made there, I cried when I had to say goodbye to our friends. Fortunately, the life which was awaiting us in Germany dried my tears pretty fast. There is not a day that goes by where I don't speak to my friends from Denmark, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen has turned out to be a wonderful town which fits our lifestyle so perfectly!

We left some stuff for our friends.

Some were more excited about their 'care/gift bags' then others lol. Jace(-Son) and I we're basically the same person (no wonder we both fell in love with Kels), making us forever linked in food & candy choices. Skittles > Cilantro.

8AM / Airport / Bye Aalborg, never coming back!

We are so thankful for the support from our families back home. We know we were in your thoughts and prayers, and here we have an exemple of my maman doing everything she can to keep us safe and happy <3

The flights to Munich were good, and our layover in Copenhagen left us $80 poorer after 2 sandwiches and 1 Pepsi!

We made it to GaPa in time for dinner, so we walked around and found a restaurant/bar where we had our first delicious German meal. Mountains everywhere; I was so happy to be here (0:

Funky ambiance

First morning after a really long day (really long week, let's be honest). Marshmallow Ianne!

Ready to go read outside. I couldn't find my own jackets, so Da's korean vest was the best I could do!

Our home in Germany for the first week.

Ohhhh what's that you say?! Packing again? Sure!

Think I deserve that €2.79 / 1 litre of wine? If your answer is no; think again (0:

Da's first day at work!

Our home in GaPa. I took day the first day, when unpacking.. Please don't mind the mess.

Although we live in the 5th oldest house in GaPa (350 years old), we were thrilled to see a brand new bathroom, with a BATHTUB!!!

Views from the bathroom / bedroom

The outside of the house. We occupied the 2 upper floors. Above our balcony is the bathroom and to the left are the windows to our bedroom. You can see Blanche, our beautiful car .. but more on her in a later post (0:

Loves his milk!

First trip out? München (Munich), only 1h away. Beautiful town, amazing food and great shopping!

Think I'll be happy here (0:
This is my face, every single day. I am still amazed at how lucky we are to live here. The mountains keep me calm(ish) and I just can't wait to go snowboard and explore them!
